Connect Zoom to Pathmarker
Last updated: October 11, 2026
This guide explains what the Pathmarker app for Zoom does, how to add it, how to use it, and how to remove it.
What it does
When a visit with video is booked in Pathmarker, Pathmarker creates a Zoom meeting and puts the join link on the visit.
When a visit is moved to a new time, Pathmarker updates the Zoom meeting to match. When a visit is cancelled, Pathmarker deletes the Zoom meeting.
Who connects it
A practice lead connects Zoom once for the whole clinic. Every visit booked with video after that gets its own Zoom meeting.
How to add it
- In Pathmarker, open Settings, then Video & Scribe.
- Under Connect Zoom, choose Connect with Zoom.
- Sign in to Zoom.
- Review the permissions, then choose Allow.
- You return to Pathmarker, and the page shows Connected to Zoom.
How to use it
Book visits in Pathmarker as usual. Each visit booked with video shows its Zoom join link in Pathmarker. There is nothing else to set up.
Permissions it asks for
- Create, read and update meetings, for visits booked in Pathmarker.
- Read the connected Zoom account's name and email address, to show which Zoom account is linked.
Pathmarker does not ask for access to recordings, chat, contacts, audio, or other users' accounts.
If Zoom needs to be reconnected
Zoom ends an app's access if it has not been used for 90 days. If access stops working, Settings, then Video & Scribe shows "Zoom needs to be reconnected."
Choose Reconnect with Zoom and approve again.
How to remove it
In Pathmarker:
- Open Settings, then Video & Scribe, and choose Disconnect Zoom.
- Pathmarker deletes its stored Zoom authorisation and asks Zoom to revoke it.
Or in Zoom:
- Sign in to the Zoom App Marketplace and open Manage, then Added Apps.
- Find Pathmarker and choose Remove.
- Zoom tells Pathmarker the app was removed, and Pathmarker deletes its stored Zoom authorisation.
After you remove it, Pathmarker stops creating Zoom meetings. Meetings it already created stay in your Zoom account.
What data Pathmarker keeps
For each visit, Pathmarker keeps the Zoom meeting ID, the join link and the meeting time. It keeps the Zoom authorisation tokens encrypted. See our Privacy Policy for more.
